Lumber truck overturns on HWY 111 and Jefferson in Indio
The California Highway Patrol is investigating an accident at Jefferson Street and Highway 111 in Indio.
A truck carrying lumber overturned just before 8 a.m. Monday. There’s no word on the extent of injuries.
CHP temporarily closed Jefferson Street from Westward Ho Drive to Highway 111 while they cleared the crash scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
A couple of lanes reopened as of 9 a.m. and the remainder of the road reopened shortly after as soon as officers were able to clear the lumber from the roadway.
