Romantic snowy getaway at the Tram
The unseasonable snow at the top of our mountains means big business for the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway at a time that is considered their off season.
“This is just beautiful, I think it’s just bringing our love to new heights, it’s like we are on top of the world, we are eating on top of the world,” said Mya Spielman who is on a date at Peaks Restaurant.
This unseasonable 3 inches of may snow is means big business for the restaurants.
“A lot of locals will come up whenever it snows, people call all the time if they cant see the tram with all of the clouds. Then we have people come up starting early in the morning all the way through the day,” said Leah Woodley, operations manager for Peaks.
Aside from a delicious meal, couples can get a magnificent view of the Coachella Valley.
“Anytime between 6 and 7:30 in the evening, you can’t see the sunset, it reflects off all the mountains and you can see all the way to Indio,” said Woodley.
If you want to take advantage of this unseasonable winter wonderland you’ll want to get a move on, because unlike Game of Thrones, summer is coming.
