Palm Springs celebrates gay marriage ruling
The Supreme Court extended the right to marry to same-sex couples nationwide in a landmark ruling on Friday. The decision is being celebrated among locals in Palm Springs throughout the day.
The Day of Decision Rally began at 5:30 p.m. at Francis Stevens Park, located at the corner of Alejo Drive and Palm Canyon Drive. There will be performances by Dana Atkins, Chris Bennett, and the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, according to the release.
