Man died after being lost with wife on drive to Valley

Funeral services will be held tomorrow for an Orange County man who disappeared for weeks along with his wife on a drive to the Coachella Valley.

Cecil Knutson and his wife Dianna Bedwell left a San Diego County casino on Mother’s Day and never made it to their son’s home in La Quinta.

They got stranded on a remote road for 2 weeks.

Knutson died and Bedwell spent weeks in the hospital and a rehabilition center.

The funeral service will be held tomorrow morning at Ingolf Funeral Chapel in Fontana at 9:30 a.m..

Burial will be at noon at Riverside National Cemetary in Riverside.

Knutson will receive full military honors for his service as a marine.

Bedwell is expected to make a statement after the service.
