Sig Alert lifted after big rigs overturn on I-10

The California Highway Patrol reports three big rigs overturned near Desert Center on Interstate 10 after strong storms moved through the area Thursday night, bringing wind, rain and dust clouds.

A sig alert was issued for Interstate 10 just after 4 p.m.

There were no major injuries reported. Officers advised anyone in a high-profile vehicle to avoid driving at the time.

One big rig driver said a strong southern wind just completely blew him off the road.

The sig alert was lifted hours later after weather conditions subsided.
