Power mostly restored after outage in Coachella
More than one thousand Imperial Irrigation District customers in the city of Coachellawent without electricity for hours on Tuesday night.
The outage began shortly before 9:30 p.m. between Cairo Avenue and Avenue 54, west of Shady Lane and east of Frederick St.
Around 11:30 p.m., IID tweeted that power had been restored for 1390 customers, but 7 customers remained without power on Valley Rd. and Harrison St.
No timetable was provided for when those 7 customers should have their lights turned back on.
IID has not said what caused the outage.
