One woman hospitalized after Indio shooting
One woman was shot several times early Wednesday morning around 1:30 a.m. It happened at an apartment complex on the 81800 block of Avenida Del Mar, near Monroe and Highway 111. There were several shell casings on the front porch of an apartment there.
Police said the victim was conscious and alert after the attack and was rushed to a local hospital. Police are still searching for the suspect who ran off.
