Outreach program aimed at providing essentials

Volunteers worked Monday night to gather supplies for the homeless community in Palm Springs.

Crystal Fantasy on Palm Canyon Drive hosted the event to collect items for the Homeless Outreach Care Bag program.

Volunteers will later deliver the bags that include essentials like water, food and clothes.

Crystal Fantasy is also donating 40 percent of all its art sales to the cause and offering coupons for in-store purchases to anyone who donates to the outreach program.
