Body of toddler found off shore in Mission Bay

An Amber Alert was issued for a four-year-old boy abducted in San Diego, police said Saturday.
Many people in the Coachella Valley were awoken to the alert on their smartphones around 7:20 a.m. Sunday.
Police say four-year-old Wesley Hilaire was last seen around 8 p.m. Saturday, walking along Mission Bay.
The family noticed him missing as they were packing up to leave the beach for the day, according to a police statement given to San Diego ABC affiliate KGTV.Police say a witness saw him walking away with a black man, description below.
The station reports lifeguards returned to Mission Bay Sunday morning to search for Hilaire, also saying the boy’s father is stationed aboard the USS George Washington, which is en route to Japan.
Wesley is described as a black male, 4 feet 2 inches tall and 40 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing red shorts and no shirt.
Police describe the adult male as black, 6 feet tall, 235 pounds with short black hair, unshaven with a dark complexion. The man was last seen wearing a grey shirt, dark blue jeans with a hole in the right knee and wearing flip flops.
