Two arrests in Coachella in assault and robbery investigations

Two people are in custody after S.W.A.T. teams served two search warrants in Coachella in connection with two assault and robbery investigations.

22-year old Damian Alba was arrested Thursday morning on Douma street, and 18-year old Alex Ceballos was arrested on Calle Rojo.

The first case happened last Wednesday.

Police say a pizza delivery driver was assaulted and robbed.

Last Saturday, a woman was shot and carjacked.

Police say she’s expected to recover.

Alba was booked on charges of armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Ceballos faces charges of possessing of a firearm, participating in a criminal street gang, and committing a felony while on bail.
