Motorist suffers major injuries in Palm Springs wreck
A motorist was hospitalized Monday morning with major injuries after rolling his vehicle along Interstate 10 near North Indian Canyon Drive.
Police said the vehicle was traveling eastbound on the freeway when the driver left the road just before the eastbound Indian freeway exit ramp and then hit a boulder.
The male driver was thrown from the car at approximately 3:30 a.m.
The wreck didn’t affect traffic and no lanes were closed.
Officers at the scene say the man may have fallen asleep behind the wheel, but had not yet confirmed that.
