Police arrest 2 men accused in attempted homicide
The Indio Police Department arrested two men early Thursday morning in connection to a shooting that occurred in October.
Sergeant Dan Marshall said 20-year-old Jamonte Tribble and 22-year-old John Tribble, both from Indio, were taken into custody shortly after officers served a search warrant in the 82200 block of Garden Avenue around 5 a.m.
Marshall said neither of the men were home at the time of the search warrant, but police found them shortly after near Dr. Carreon Park where they were arrested.
According to police, the Tribbles are both facing charges of attempted homicide after a man was shot in the area of Garden Avenue and Daisy Street in Indio around 10:20 p.m. on October 21. The man was shot twice in his upper body and was treated and released from the hospital.
The suspects were interviewed by detectives after being taken into custody and they were later booked into the Riverside County Jail. In addition to the attempted homicide charge, Jamonte Tribble faces a charge of carrying a concealed weapon, Marshall said in the release.
Bail is set at $1M each.
Chief of Police Richard Twiss said, “These arrests represent the culmination of several months of investigative and community outreach efforts to enhance the safety of both the Mayfair/Nobles Ranch neighborhood and Dr. Carreon Park.”
