Highway 243 re-opens to Idyllwild

Highway 243 near Idyllwild re-opened about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after Caltrans crews worked for three days to remove a boulder that shut down the highway Sunday at 10:00 p.m. between Pine Cove and Idyllwild.

There will be continued work to remove the boulder from the shoulder of the road on Thursday morning.

There will be traffic control in the area when crews begin that work.
