Two men arrested for alleged mail theft in Coachella

The deputy on the case tells us he will start contacting victims Monday to get stolen mail back to them.
ORIGINAL STORY: Two men are in custody after stealing mail in Coachella. Someone called into police reporting he saw two people stealing mail from the post office on 6th Street, then fleeing in a grey, Honda Accord.
Police found those suspects at a fast food restaurant on Harrison Street and Avenue 50. They were arrested and police did find a lot of stolen mail in their car.
A 17-year-old man and 22-year-old Eduardo Diaz-Delgado, both from Perris, were arrested for felony mail theft and conspiracy. Diaz-delgado was also charged with probation violation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and booked into the riverside county jail in Indio, and the juvenile is in juvenile hall.
The minor was charged with driving without a license and booked into juvenile hall.
