Stolen ATV returned to owner

Desert Hot Springs Police Officers arrest two suspects accused of stealing an ATV.

Police responded to the 10-100 block of West Drive, regarding suspicious activity at an abandoned residence. When officers arrived on scene, they located Cody Waterman and Kimberly Corona in the location.

Both suspects attempted to flee the location on two ATV’s but were detained by officers. A large dagger, burglary tools and methamphetamine was found concealed on Waterman.

According to Police, Corona had an outstanding felony warrant for possession of stolen property, and one of the ATV’s was found to be stolen from the Desert Hot Springs area. It was returned to the owner.

There is continued investigation to see if the other quad is also stolen. Waterman and Corona were arrested and later booked into the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
