Thermal crash downs power lines, knocks out power to hundreds
We’re following a power outage after a car hit a power pole in Thermal.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Avenue 66 and Middleton Saturday.
Power lines were down and knocked out power to nearly 600 Imperial Irrigation District customers.
The IID said nearly all power was restored by 9:30 p.m.
No one was found with the car and it is unknown if there were any injuries.
The California Highway Patrol are still on the scene investigating the incident.
