Armed man robs Coachella jewelry store

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who robbed a jewelry store with a gun Sunday afternoon in Coachella. The armed robbery happened at Don Roberto’s Jewelry, located in the 49000 block Harrison Street.

The sheriff’s department was called to the jewelry store shortly after 4 p.m. The suspect pulled a gun, demanded cash, and ran from the business. Nobody was injured during the robbery, authorities said in the release.

The investigation revealed the suspect is a Hispanic man who is about 20 years old. He was wearing a black hat, white shirt and blue jean pants at the time of the robbery.
