One person shot, suspect arrested in Twentynine Palms

A man is in jail facing charges of attempted murder in Twentynine Palms.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies said they arrested 41-year-old Clent Gibson after responding to a shooting Saturday near Siesta Drive and Manana Drive.

Deputies said Gibson was involved in an argument with multiple people and reportedly left the area to get a gun from his home. Gibson allegedly returned and while driving slowly fired the gun at several people and shot one of them.

Gibson left the scene and was later arrested without incident.

Gibson is being held at the Morongo Basin Jail on $1 million bail.
