2 gunmen rob used-tire shop in Palm Springs

A used-tire shop in Palm Springs was robbed by two armed men on Wednesday morning, and police are still searching for the suspects. The robbery occurred at Garcia’s Used Tire Shop, located in the 400 block of Radio Road, just before 11 a.m.

Sgt. William Hutchinson with the Palm Springs Police Department said a worker was thrown to the ground during the robbery, but wasn’t injured.

Witnesses described the two suspects as black men in their early 20s. They were allegedly armed with handguns and their faces were covered. They ran away from the store after taking an unknown amount of cash.

Sgt. Hutchinson said officers are still searching the area for the robbers.
