Bus crash leaves 20 injured in Highland after church retreat
Update: Officials said Sunday night 20 people were injured when a shuttle bus carrying women back from a mountain church retreat overturned as it drove down a highway in the San Bernardino Mountains. They had previously reported 26 injuries.
San Bernardino County fire Capt. Jeremy Kern said six people had serious injuries and 14 had minor to moderate injuries after the Sunday afternoon crash. All 20 were taken to hospitals in ground ambulances and all are expected to survive. Two others aboard the bus were not hurt.
The bus was one of several carrying about 200 women back from a retreat in the San Bernardino Mountains to their church in Downey, California.

Authorities said a shuttle bus overturned on a highway in the San Bernardino Mountains, leaving two people critically injured, four with moderate injuries and 20 with minor injuries.
San Bernardino County Fire Capt. Jeremy Kern said the bus turned on to its side across State Route 330 shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Kern said two patients were airlifted to hospitals and four more with moderate injuries were taken to hospitals in ground ambulances.
Twenty people had minor injuries including scrapes and bruises and were being examined at the scene.
Text on the bus indicated it belongs to Llamada Final Ministries, a church in Downey, California.
The highway was shut down for a 16-mile stretch near Highland. The area is about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
