Fire destroys garage at home in Palm Springs

Palm Springs, Cathedral City and Riverside County fire crews responded to a fire that destroyed a garage at a home in South Palm Springs Saturday night.

Firefighters received a call around 7 p.m. about the fire at the home near Mesa Drive and Overlook Road.

Crews contained the fire around 7:45 p.m.

Firefighters said the garage was a total loss and one car was destroyed.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
