Highway 111 reopened after car crash in Indio
Three people are in the hospital after a car crash in Indio.
The crash happened just before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 111 and Smurr Street.
The driver of a Nissan and two passengers from a Chevy Cruze were taken to a hospital with moderate to serious injuries.
The driver of the Chevy was not sent to the hospital, and stayed on scene.
Officers said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
