Cal Fire douses house fire in North Palm Springs

Cal Fire was called to a house fire in North Palm Springs.

The fire was reported just before 4 p.m. Monday. The home is located on Sanborn Street and Thumb Drive. The neighborhood is located just south of Dillon Road and East of Indian Canyon Drive.

KESQ and CBS Local 2 confirmed that a family was inside the home at the time of the fire, but no injuries have been reported at this time.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames quickly, but the damage to the home appears to be significant. The cause of the fire is under investigation as firefighters expect to remain at the scene throughout the afternoon.
