Coachella man accused of shooting gun unlawfully
A Coachella man was facing criminal charges Wednesday following a late night shooting.
Police say they were called to a report of gunfire along the 52800 block of Calle Diego in Coachella at 10:29 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers arrested Abraham Olvera, 30, of Coachella and recommended charges of felony negligent discharge of a firearm against him.
An investigation led to Olvera who was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
A release from the sheriffs department made no reference to what, if anything, Olvera was allegedly shooting at.
Nobody was hurt during the incident.
