New show in production in Palm Springs
A new show started production in Palm Springs Wednesday. It’s called “Starwatch” and features some local celebrities honored on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.
The first to be interviewed was the one and only Timothy Bradley Jr. He said he’s proud to represent the Coachella Valley.
“At the end of the day, I’m homegrown that’s the special part about this. There’s a lot of celebrities they weren’t born here. I was born and raised here, and a lot of people have seen me grow from a young man into an adult and become successful,” Bradley said.
The show will feature one-on-one interviews with celebrities whose names are cemented in our sidewalk and is hosted by actress Kathy Garver.
“I think it’s a fabulous idea to keep going and keep the history of our fabulous stars in motion,” Garver said.
Garver, who has a star herself, said the show pays tribute to other honorees.
“Primarily catching up with the stars. What are they doing now, and that can go off some of our stars that aren’t with us anymore we’ll be doing montages and pictures and clips when they were with us,” Garver said.
Bradley, a homegrown celebrity, said having a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars was always a dream of his.
“I remember years ago I told my wife when we walked down the street for the street fair. I told her, ‘Man, I hope one day I’ll have my name on one of these stars,’ and it happened,” Bradley said.
The show is giving viewers a chance to catch up with some of the town’s most famous faces and learn more about our stars. Shooting continues through the week with more guests, including Trini Lopez and Lindsay Wagner. You can catch clips of the show on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars website.
