Inland Empire gas price drops for 14th straight day

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped today for the 14th consecutive day, decreasing 1.1 cents to $2.725, after rising nine times in the previous 11 days.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped 10.7 cents over the past 14 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It had risen 7.3 cents during the 11-day stretch of increases.

The average price is 6.3 cents less than a week ago, 4.6 cents lower than a month ago and 2.6 cents below what it was one year ago.
