Students organize car wash to help raise funds for Indio teen’s funeral service
Hundreds gathered at a car wash fundraiser in Indio, an effort to raise money for the Leon family, whose daughter died Wednesday.
Elizabeth Castro Leon was 15-years-old and attended Indio High School. Those who helped organize the car wash say they did it to support the Leon family and help raise funds for funeral services.
Many say they felt comforted to see the outpour of support from the community.
One woman who donated to the Leon family said now is the time to support one another.
