Injured hiker rescued in La Quinta

More than a dozen firefighters helped rescue an injured hiker on a trail in La Quinta Sunday afternoon.

Crews responded to a hiker that fell on the La Quinta Cove to Lake Cahuilla Trail just after 1:30 p.m.

The man suffered moderate injuries, and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
