Roads reopen in Desert Hot Springs after storm damage

Desert Hot Springs police have reopened three roads that were closed to traffic Monday morning due to flood-related issues.

Commander Jim Henson said Indian Canyon Avenue reopened between Mission Lakes Blvd. and Pierson Blvd. at about 1 p.m. Little Morongo Road and Dillon Road were both closed Monday morning as well, but Henson said both of those roads reopened shortly after 10:30 a.m.

Officers advised drivers to allow themselves extra time to get their destinations while crews worked to reopen the roadways early Monday morning.

Meanwhile, crews are still working to reopen multiple roads in Palm Springs after the weekend storm.
