Traffic backed up on I-10 EB at Monterey after big rig and motorhome crash

A motor home and a big rig crashed Tuesday morning on Interstate 10 in Thousand Palms. It happened just west of Monterey on I-10 eastbound. A SIG Alert was issued by CHP at about 8:45 a.m. The big rig was hauling lumber. Traffic is backed up to Bob Hope Drive. Lane 4 is closed. No one was hurt.
