Doctors of the Desert Concert raises money for local schools

On sunday The Steinway Society of Riverside hosted their Doctors of the Desert Concert, an annual fundraiser aimed to raise money for music education for K-5th grade.

Guests enjoyed live musical performances from local doctors, a live auction, and lunch.

The society has served the Coachella Valley for 15 years, providing local school districts with nine music related programs, which benefit more than 30,000 children.

“The programs in the schools are to enhance the school music programs because they were removed from the schools in kindergarten through 5th grade. The importance of today is to celebrate music for children and raise money,” said president and founder of Steinway Society, Ruth Moir.
