CDMOD introduces new exhibit

The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert say bloodsuckers have invaded — It’s their newest exhibit and is now open to the public.

Those who visit the museum can learn the science behind bloodsucking insects through a variety of hands-on activities.

“The kids are excited to learn why animals bite them. There’s an exhibit that talks about mosquitoes and if they’re attracted to stinky feet or not so stinky feet, how reactive you are to a mosquito bite, and then how mosquitoes can find you — so through carbon dioxide, through your breath, through the air that your breathing, and if they like you or not,” said Kyle Pong, the director of the museum’s advancement.

The exhibit will be on display through early May and is included in a regular admission ticket.
