Palm Springs approves permit for city’s first cannabis greenhouse

The city of Palm Springs is moving forward on cannabis cultivation.

The city has granted its first permit for a cannabis greenhouse to Palm Springs Safe Access. This will allow the dispensary to grow its own plants, which the owner says is a natural evolution in growing plants and will help with sustainable cultivation in an effort to have organic products.

“It’s been a product of a lot of labor and it was very fulfilling to finally get approval after working on this for for many years,” said Robert Van Roo, president and co-founder of Palm Springs Safe Access.

The greenhouse will be located in North Palm Springs and will be 36,000 square feet in total space.

It is part of 14 acres of land the dispensary owns which will eventually become a large complex.
