Boil water order over for Carver Tract residents
The boil water order is over for dozens of families who live near Indio after a private water agency detected E. coli earlier this week.
Customers near Van Buren Street received a notice Saturday telling them the boil order has been lifted.

It says the Carver Tract Mutual Water Corporation has determined your water is safe to drink and assuring people living in the Carver Tract area it is no longer necessary to boil their water.
Some customers we talked to said they were never that worried.
“Somebody came to my house and showed me what happened, but I’m not worried because I got a filter. And he told me it’s not a 100 percent sure, but probably,” said Isaiah Gomez who lives in the Carver Tract area.
The notices were passed out in Spanish and English.
