Planned power outage bring frustrations
Some Cathedral City residents, living at the Desert Princess Country Club, are facing their fifth planned outage since June.

Residents at the country club near Landau Boulevard and Ramon Road said the last two outages scheduled by Southern California Edison (SCE) lasted more than 10 hours each and happened during periods of severe heat.
Some said food inside their refrigerators and freezers spoiled, costing them up to $500 in groceries.
“Of course they couldn’t do this in January,” resident Joyce Dixon said. “We can’t figure that out. It’s just very miserable, and we had two a couple weeks ago. And now, we’re scheduled to have a couple more in the next week or so.”
