PALM SPRINGS – A man accused of fatally shooting his neighbor in Palm Springs was behind bars today, police said.

Dale Farquhar, 47, allegedly shot a man whose body was found about 2 p.m. Saturday outside a second-floor apartment at the Palm Springs Villas condominium complex, where Farquhar also lives, said Sgt. Mitch Spike of the Palm Springs Police Department.

Farquhar was arrested on suspicion of murder just before 3 a.m. Sunday at his residence in the 600 block of Ashurst Court, Spike said.

He is being held at the Riverside County Jail in Indio in lieu of $500,000 bail, Spike said.
