Easter Baskets Needed For Disadvantaged Kids

The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission is asking for your help for Easter Sunday.

The Mission still needs 200 pre-made Easter baskets for disadvantaged youths. The Mission expects at least 300 children to show up at its Indio location beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

A typical basket should contain chocolate and other candies, a toy, and perhaps, a stuffed animal.

The Mission also is asking for dinner rolls, breakfast meats, and plastic cups while will be served during its Easter meals. The organization expects to feed more than 2,000 mouths.

Please drop off the Easter baskets and/or food donations at 47-518 Van Buren St., Indio.
