Pot Dispensary Could Lose License Tonight

The Palm Springs City Council will consider suspending the permit of a medical marijuana dispensary tonight over alleged city code violations, according to officials.

The city has accused the owner of Cannahelp of fudging details of its operation before it was awarded the permit in February, according to a city staff report.

Cannahelp’s owner, Stacy Hochanadel, will be allowed to present evidence as to why the permit should not be rescinded, the report stated.

On March 4, police and city officials shut down Cannahelp when they found large lamps used to cultivate the plants were not within the city’s code.

The city cried fowl when they discovered “several thousand cannabis plants” being grown on the premises before the official opening, according to the report.
