Two Quakes Rattle Southern California
A 4.7 magnitude earthquake shook the Southland at 10:20am this morning, rattling some nerves south of the Salton Sea and into Calexico. It was preceeded by a smaller 4.6 quake at 7:20am.
The 4.6 quake was centerned near Seeley, California, which is on the south side of the Salton Sea. This is the epicenter of many of the aftershocks and other quakes that have hit since the Easter earthquake. The 4.7 was centered in the same area.
Both temblors were felt as far north as Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City, and especially strong in San Diego.
There are no reports of damage or injuries.
