Fires Ignite Along Busy Interstate 10, Slowing Traffic
A series of tree and brush fires erupted along Interstate 10 in Palm Springs, this morning.
Cal Fire tells News Channel 3 their crews are responding to at least 4 spot fires, the largest being a quarter of an acre.The fires broke out about 11:45am, and have slowed traffic between Indian Drive and Gene Autry.
As of 12:34pm, fire crews starting putting out the hot spots that lingered after the much larger fires were put out.
Fire crews are on the scene, but the commotion and the fire fight has slowed traffic. Please be on the lookout for emergency vehicles.
