Attempted Murder Suspect Caught In Indio
Indio police captured a man they said may be responsible for an attempted murder in the city last weekend.
Around 11:25 a.m. police cornered Anthony Gonzalez, 24, in a residential area on the 81600 block of Drawbridge Avenue near the intersection of Miles Avenue and Clinton in Indio.
Investigators said he shot a guest at the Royal Plaza Inn on the 83300 block of Highway 111 Saturday night.
He took off with the victim’s laptop computer. Police haven’t identified the victim, but say he was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he’s now in stable condition.
