Car Crash Leaves Two Dead
Two people are dead and another is in unknown condition after a car crash in Palm Springs.
It happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning on Palm Canyon, just south of Via Escuela.
Officials say the driver, 32 year old Edgar Ocampo of Palm Springs, lost control of the vehicle, hit the brakes, and then crashed into a Palm tree.
28 year old John Rodriquez of Palm Springs was also killed. He was a passenger in the front seat at the time.
Police are determining if it was a case of driving drunk.
Palm Canyon, between Vista Chino and Via Escuela, was shut down while crews removed the car and cleaned up.
All lane were reopened around ten Saturday morning.
