Palm Springs Police Search For Possible Molestation Victims

As Jeffrey Christopher Roderick sat in a county jail New Philadelphia, Ohio, police in Palm Springs, Califl., were searching for more possible victims of sexual abuse on Tuesday.

Roderick was arrested in Ohio in late January after new tenants of a home he used to live in discovered a disc containing images of him engaging in sexual acts with a child. New Philadelphia police investigators said the recording was made in 2004 while he was on vacation in Palm Springs. He was charged in Ohio with possessing child pornography.

In Riverside County, prosecutors were waiting to file felony child sexual abuse charges against Roderick.

On Tuesday, Palm Springs police spokeswoman Rhonda Long said investigators were looking for the possibility there may have been more children involved with him.

Investigators were asking parents who lived on the 2300 block of Carillo Road in Palm Springs between 1998 and 2005 to ask their children if they were the victims of sexual abuse.
