College of the Desert Students Help Victims in Japan

The outpouring of support continues from valley residents wanting to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

At Saturday’s street fair at College of the Desert, donations were collected. College of the Desert volunteers started collecting donations on Friday.

As of Saturday, they’ve collected over $2,000 to be given to the Red Cross.

They will be collecting donations outside of “Beep’s Caf” at the college all next week, from 9 to 4:30 everyday. For more information on how you can help, visit their facebook page by searching “help japan from the desert.”
