Second Storm Moves Into Coachella Valley
Another storm was expected to hit Riverside County later Wednesday, bringing with it gusty winds but not much rain, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service advised that an upper level low pressure system was approaching from the northwest.
“Light showers will linger into Thursday,” according to the Weather Service, which also advised that strong gusty winds were likely, especially in the mountains.
The storm was expected to drop about a third to a half-inch of rain in most parts. The Coachella Valley could only see wind.
The snow level will lower to about 4,000-4,500 feet tonight, the Weather Service advised.
A winter weather advisory was scheduled for the mountains above 4,500 feet from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday.
A similar storm with slightly higher snow levels was expected Thursday night through early Friday.
