Opera In The Park Brings Music To Sunrise Park
The Palm Springs Opera Guild today will present the 13th annual Opera in the Park, a city spokeswoman said.
The event, which drew about 5,000 people last year, will take place from noon until 5 p.m. at Sunrise Park, 2000 E. Ramon Road.
The performance will be led by Valery Ryvkin of the Santa Barbara Opera. Eight opera singers will also perform during the event, which will include catering by Jensen’s Finest Foods and other local restaurants, city spokeswoman Amy Blaisdell said.
Free shuttles are available from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Palm Springs Mall and Palm Springs High School. City officials encourage patrons to take public transportation or to carpool.
