Car Runs Through Wall, Misses Palm Springs Home
Palm Springs Police were investigating why a car veered off city street, hit a wall and came to rest in someone’s yard.
The accident happened about 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday on Calle Santa Cruz near Mesquite Ave.
Police said a gray Toyota hit a wall of a home on Calle Santa Cruz, traveled into the yard and hit the house. The home wasn’t damaged, according to police, but the homeowner told News Channel 3 the bathroom on the other side of the wall was damaged a little bit.
The driver was not hurt.
The homeowner told News Channel 3 it appeared the young driver mis-judged the turn onto Calle Santa Cruz causing him to hit the wall. The exact cause is under investigation.
