Police Arrest Rodney King For Possible DUI
The man who was at the center of a controversial arrest and police beating in Los Angeles in 1991 was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired on Tuesday.
Rodney King was taken into custody after Moreno Valley police pulled over his 1994 Mitsubishi on Frederick Avenue, north of Brabham Drive, according to Sgt. David Knudson of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
He said King’s initial evaluation at 2:30 p.m. showed he was not able to drive safely, which resulted in King facing many more traffic violations.
King was booked in the Robert Presely Detention Center in Riverside, where he could face DUI charges.
