Teen Shot Outside Thousand Palms House Party
A 19-year-old man is recovering after being shot twice outside a house party in Thousand Palms on Saturday night.
Sgt. Andrew Nielsen of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the incident happened just before midnight on Saturday.
Arriving deputies found the man suffering from two gunshot wounds, one in the abdomen and one in the torso, he said.
Witnesses told authorities the man was walking to the party when a group of unidentified people drove up in a dark sedan and began yelling at him. Gunshots then came from the car, which sped off.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was said to be undergoing treatment.
