Two Drivers Arrested In Seperate DUI Cases
Two Coachella Valley women crashed their cars and both were booked in the Indio Jail Saturday for suspicion of drunken driving, according to police spokesmen.
At 10:14 p.m. Friday, officers reported that a white Ford Taurus had collided with parked vehicles in the 38000 block of Desert Greens Drive West in Palm Desert, and then had been driven away, said police Sgt. Radek Horkel.
Officers found the Taurus parked in a nearby driveway and arrested Diana Joann Withrowlundin, 69, of Palm Desert, for suspicion of hit-and-run and drunken driving, Horkel said.
At 4:53 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash at Monterey Avenue and Dick Kelly Road in Rancho Mirage where a crashed vehicle was stranded at the center median, according to police Sgt. Dan Devinny.
Driver Mariah Anne Poole, 21, of Rancho Mirage, was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving, he said.
She was not hurt.
